Family company Triflor, originally a tulip forcing company, was started in 1965 by Henk van Dam. Since then, it has been successfully developed by the 2nd and now 3rd family generations into a full-service tulip enterprise. For years, the love for tulips has been the driving force behind everything they do at Triflor; from the first tulips forced to the growing of 260 hectares bulbs now. That love is shown through the quality of the bulbs and flowers!
In the nursery Triflor produce almost 50 million tulips, which are available in about 130 different varieties. The focus is on producing high quality and exclusive varieties. These varieties are distinguished by, among other things, the many different flower shapes: parrot, fringed, crown and double (peony) tulips. The production of Triflor tulips runs from October to early May. Because Triflor also grows bulbs in New Zealand, it’s possible to supply high-quality tulips as early as October. After all, the tulips from New Zealand have a "shifted season".
Sustainability plays a very important part in everything Triflor does. Triflor cares about dedicated employees and strive for a sustainable future—for the environment, the business, and the entire industry. Triflor takes great pride in this commitment and aim to demonstrate it to everyone. That’s why they are proud to be MPS-A and GLOBALG.A.P. certified.
