Operations Support Officer
Are you at the start of your career and do you want to work in a dynamic environment where you can learn a lot about logistics and processes? Then this is the perfect opportunity for you!
About OZ-Hami
What could be better than working with the most beautiful flowers in the world? At OZ-Hami, one of the largest flower exporters in the Netherlands, we get to enjoy this every day. OZ-Hami is the parent company of the traditional Dutch family businesses OZ Export and Hamifleurs, which together have more than 100 years of experience in the international flower trade.
Our motto is “To Flower the World”, and with customers in more than 60 countries, we proudly stand behind it. Our flowers find their way to the flower market in Milan, royal palaces in the Middle East, players at football clubs such as Liverpool and the Formula 1 Grand Prix. And you are part of this!
We love sharing our passion for flowers with everyone: from colleagues to growers. Together you achieve more than alone. Together we form a strong team in which everyone can flourish.
OZ-Hami is part of Dutch Flower Group, one of the largest digital flower trading houses in the world.
What you will do
In the role of Operations Support Officer, you are an important link in our logistics process within the Operations Support department. You help make sure everything runs smoothly, from inbound to loading, and actively contribute to improvement projects. After an extensive onboarding programme, your work as an Operations Support Officer looks like this:
- Guiding: you support the logistics process of inbound, order picking, processing and loading;
- Monitoring: you keep an eye on process quality and make corrections where necessary, so that targets are met. For this you are in active contact with sales staff, logistics team leaders and foremen;
- Planning: you play an active role in the preparation and planning process for the coming day(s);
- Analysing: you think along about logistics issues and analyse data to achieve improvements in safety, quality, lead time and efficiency;
- Supporting: you help draw up and manage the logistics KPIs.
After an extensive onboarding programme, in which you get to know the company, the people and the processes, you will work with your colleagues on improvement projects and strategic issues. That way you make every day a little better than the one before.
